Physician Profile

Dr. Gurin, a native Minnesotan, graduated in 1992 from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. She completed training at William Beaumont Hospital as Chief Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1996. While working at Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Associates, she was elected Medical Director of the United Hospital Rehabilitation Unit and Co-Vice Chairman of Neuroscience Department at United Hospital. During this time, she also cared for Patients at The United Pain Clinic. In 2000, she joined Minnesota Orthopedic Specialists which merged with Twin Cites Orthopedics.  

In addition to her traditional Medical Degree, Dr. Gurin has advanced training in Impairment and Disability Evaluation from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. She completed coursework and requirements to obtain a Federal License to prescribe Suboxone. Dr. Gurin has undergone training in Lumbar Spine Fluoroscopically-Guided Injection Procedures from the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS) Spine Masters Institute in Burr Ridge, IL.

While in practice for over 13 years, she's been delighted to be a part of restoring so many wonderful peoples' lives. As many know, suffering from pain can erode your quality of life. Pain contributes to difficulty both personally and professionally. Dr. Gurin's goal is to work with you to:
